Electric test sailing at Sustainable Sailing Days

Zeehavendagen Amsterdam is hosting the largest electric boating event in the Netherlands for two days. The whole weekend is dedicated to increasing awareness of electric boating. Various parties from the sustainable boating segment will show their products and solutions. For people with a small purse or a somewhat larger budget, for beginners and very experienced water sports enthusiasts. Much will be discussed at the various stands and during the information sessions: electric motors, (portable) batteries, charging options, options for converting existing boats and much more.

Emission-free in 2030
During Seaport Days, the City of Amsterdam will explain its policy on Amsterdam Emission Free 2030 and discuss its charging strategy. New boats on Amsterdam's inland waterways must be electrically powered from January 1, 2025. Existing boat owners are subject to a transitional arrangement. These will have 5 more years to switch or convert.

The Duurzaam Varen Dagen (Sustainable Sailing Days) are mainly intended to experience for yourself how nice electric and sustainable sailing really is. Whether small open boats or larger ships with very powerful electric engines, for slow or fast sailing, there is a good solution for most types of recreation on the water.

Tickets and check-in
Free tickets for the Sustainable Sailing Days can be booked through this website. You only need one ticket per person to try out various boats. Check in at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and then walk to the head of the Java Island. The promo village is open from 10:00-17:00.
