Free sailing lessons in the IJhaven

Zeehavendagen Amsterdam is also about playing with the elements of wind and water. And that's one thing you'll learn during the free sailing lessons at the IJhaven. Professional sailing coaches will teach you the basics of sailing. You sit at the helm and learn how to use the jib. What is tacking and what is port and starboard.

Vaarplezier provides a complete program for everyone from 12 years and up who has never been in a sailboat before or perhaps just a few times. There are three open sailboats of the Randmeer and Valk classes ready for simple introductory lessons, so you can try out sailing! You sail with a few people for about an hour. We sail with up to four passengers on board in the IJhaven south of the Jan Schaefer Bridge. We moor right next to the bridge.
