Viewing tour
Go on the sightseeing tour and get to know stories and objects about Amsterdam and its port. You can do this sightseeing tour alone, but together with someone else is even more fun.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, pick up at the Open Square, for families.

Guest ship Helena
Shipping and inland navigation are inextricably linked. Where sea vessels arrive and depart, cargo is also transported and discharged by inland vessels. During the Seaport Days the Helena will be on our deck, the oldest inland ship and perhaps the most beautiful sailing museum ship in the Netherlands. The ship exists 150 years this year and to celebrate this she will be at Het Scheepvaartmuseum during the Seaport Days.
Look around on board and hear more about the history of the ship.

Life on board the Helena
The crew members are happy to tell you all about life aboard a barge. What is it like to live on a barge? How do you do your shopping, for example? Walk the ship and hear all about it.
Friday from 12.00 to 16.30, Saturday and Sunday between 10.00 and 16.30, for families.

Stories about inland navigation in the collection of Het Scheepvaartmuseum
Marja Goud, head of the library, talks about a number of objects and books in Het Scheepvaartmuseum's collection. What do they say about inland navigation in the late 19th and early 20th centuries? The items to be discussed include shipbuilding drawings, prints and paintings and, for example, the 1905 "Report of the State Commission to Investigate the Condition of Inland Navigation".
On Saturday, June 14, 1:00 - 1:30 p.m., for adults.

Stories about the history of the Helena
The stevenaak Helena was built in 1875 and is celebrating her 150th anniversary this year. The Helena is the oldest Rhine ship still sailing in the Netherlands and is doing a tour of various places to mark her anniversary. During the Seaport Days, the Helena is visiting Het Scheepvaartmuseum. Everything on board has been restored in a historical way, it is a real museum ship. Hear more about the history and restoration.
On Sunday, June 15 at 1 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., for adults.
