The entering of the naval ship the Zr.Ms.De Ruyter is a unique event for Zeehavendagen Amsterdam. This event is even more special when you as a visitor can experience this up close on Hr.Ms. Mahu from 1961.
The shallow-water minesweeper accommodates only 25 people. A special tour awaits them starting behind CS Amsterdam (Steiger 14) from where they will set course for IJmuiden. There, the frigate of the Royal Netherlands Navy will leave Zeesluis IJmuiden around 9:30 a.m. After saluting the ship, the Mahu escorts the De Ruyter until she docks at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam.

Should the Hr.Ms.Mahu be fully booked. Not to worry. The 1964 diving ship the Nautilus also sails to IJmuiden on Saturday morning for the escort of De Ruyter to Amsterdam.
