Sailing with heritage to Museum 't Kromhout (v.v.)

Museum 't Kromhout unpacks on the weekend of June 29 and 30 with special Seaport Days programming for adults and children. First of all, the museum is bringing two historic ships with a Kromhout engine into service; a tugboat and a passenger ferry. And, as in other years, the Jan van der Heyde II (the old fireboat of the Amsterdam Fire Department) will again be in attendance.

Children's Program
When you disembark at the museum at the Hoogte Kadijk, a world of shipbuilding in the ^19th century opens up before you. Fun for enthusiasts, but also for kids who can get started with the Kids Explorer Tour of the shipyard.

Biologist Midas Dekkers
On Sunday, June 30, at 3 p.m., the English translation of the book "Motor Ship Bregetta, sailing through time 1914-2019" will be presented at the museum. Bea Pijn-Blom, author of the book and also its owner will be present. Her ship is moored at the museum. Writer and biologist Midas Dekkers, a lover of historic ships, will introduce the presentation.

Maritime walks
Museum 't Kromhout is also the starting point of the 'Maritime Walks Eastern Islands' led by a guide. On Saturday and Sunday he will lead you twice along maritime historical locations in the neighborhood. Click here if you want to book tickets for this attraction.

Entrance tickets
During the Seaport Days, Museum 't Kromhout applies adjusted, reduced admission prices and you sail to the museum for free. Discounted entrance tickets can only be ordered through our website: €5 (adults) and €2.50 (children under 16). Museum 't Kromhout does not accept Museumkaart.
