Havenexperience De Terminal consists of the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, an IJhaven full of ships and the Java Island with a collection of companies and organizations active on water, road and rail. They all pitch their tents at the Techniek & Logistiek Boulevard. There, boats are also ready for demonstrations on the water with visitors.
Beach Tent Jakarta
Centerpiece of Java Island during Zeehavendagen Amsterdam is Strandtent Jakarta. Around it are Forkliftcenter, Rietlanden Terminal, Customs, Police, Koopman Car Terminal, Coalition Electric Boating, Boating Fun, Amspec (inspection of machinery, equipment and materials),TMA Logistics, Railcargo and Peinemann.
Electric test sailing
If the port is unfamiliar territory for you, then after a visit to the Techniek & Logistiek Boulevard you will know all over again what happens on and around the water. How nice it is to first be updated on sustainable transport over water and then to make a trial run with one of the twenty available electric boats.
Safety
Sailing in the harbor is also about safety and getting your papers. If you want to know more about that, meet Customs, the Police on Water, Boating Fun and the Navy. You can also go out on the water with them throughout the Seaport Days weekend and take tours on their spectacular vessels. Circular boats are ready for a taster course in Boating License A and B. You can also sail around and the Amsterdam Municipal Fire Department (GBA) will teach you how to put out fires.
Channel to the future
Never a dull moment on Java Island. We tow the largest port crane to the IJhaven, there is a diving tank on the boulevard, a mini cinema in a container with the premiere of the campaign Kanaal naar de toekomst; an impression of the North Sea Canal area in the future.
Nautical services
The Java Island boulevard is full of ships of all disciplines. Come here if you want to get acquainted with nautical services (Loodswezen, Vletterlieden, towing service and De Koperen Ploeg), the Amsterdam Seafaring School and the Reddingsbrigade (also in action).

Entrance to the Techniek & Logistiek Boulevard is free. Book your ticket for Havenexperience De Terminal, check in at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and come by foot or bike to the Java Island.
