#SAILHero Er-Vaar is looking for participants!

Are you or do you know a young person who would like to develop and sail on a Dutch sailing ship for 10 days free of charge? Then the SailHero Er-Vaar project is looking for you.

#Sailhero Amsterdam, offers young people with a development goal the opportunity to sail on a Tall Ship for 10 days free of charge.

The #SAILHero Er-Vaar project, set up by Windseeker Foundation and SAIL Amsterdam Foundation, offers young people with a development goal the opportunity to sail on a Tall Ship for 10 days free of charge. During the trip, the youngsters go through the Sail Training Program and learn to crew the ship. With the help of an experienced coach, the youth gain a better understanding of their behavior and work on a predetermined learning goal. After the trip, the youngsters will receive the status of #SAILHero and will be included in the network of Stichting SAIL Amsterdam where they will have the opportunity to do internship(s) and will be invited to workshops and meetings to broaden their social skills and network.

There are still open spots on the next trips in spring 2024:

- Trip 2: Dates: May 2 to 22, from Fécamp, France to Kiel, Germany.
- Voyage 5: Dates: June 9 to 18, sailing in area of the Baltic Sea, Germany, Denmark and Norway.

Participation is completely free of charge including travel insurance, sailing suit and transfer to and from the ship. There is room for a maximum of 12 participants per trip.
