Seaport Days gets Energy Square
Zeehavendagen Amsterdam 2025 gives a glimpse of what the port and shipping industry looks like today. As part of the Future Ten Days (June 12-21), the port and shipping of the future will also be featured.
Big eye-catcher in the context of the future port is the Hydrogen Inspirience. This interactive mega-exhibition, spread over two tents, is the centerpiece of the Energy Square during the Seaport Days on June 14 and 15. Here, through interactive animations, you will learn about the impact of hydrogen in everyday life and how important the role of the Port of Amsterdam is in this.
Canal into the future
In 2026, the North Sea Canal will be 150 years old. That is why during Seaport Days there will be plenty of room for the future of the North Sea Canal, which will be featured at the Havenfestival as the 'Canal to the Future'. Young and old will be introduced to the importance of the North Sea Canal for living, working and recreation.
Solar Challenge
Solar energy as a driving force for vessels. You can experience it up close during Zeehavendagen Amsterdam where on June 14 and 15 twenty boats will compete with each other in the IJhaven during the so-called Solar Challenge. One of the boats will be on display at the Energy Square as a demonstration object. The project was developed by students of ROC Amsterdam. They will be present to inform the public about their study and the Solar Challenge.
