The first pile has been driven for Bunge's new sustainable factory in the Municipality of Zaanstad. This symbolic act marks a crucial step in the transition to a sustainable industry in the region, with Wormerveer making way for Hoogtij.

The port community gathered for the 78th edition of the Port Guild Dinner. Highlights of the program included the presentation of the Port Medal to Ron Lahman, the speech by outgoing Minister Harbers and the introductory speech by Amports chairman Ramon Ernst.

Amports awarded VCK director Ron Lahman the Amsterdam port medal this year. This happened traditionally during the Port Guild Dinner at Hotel Okura and the jewel was pinned on him by port alderman Hester van Buren (PvdA).

Outgoing Minister Mark Harbers insists on the possibility of building a port in the Houtrakpolder. This can then be combined with water storage. He said this at the annual Port Guild Dinner 2023 at Hotel Okura Amsterdam amid 500 invited guests from the port community.

Hydrogen Hub Noord-Holland was named Hydrogen Valley of 2023 during the European Hydrogen Week in Brussels. Earlier this year, this hub already received European Hydrogen Valley status. Now it adds this award.

Forkliftcenter has entered into a new agreement with shipping giant Grimaldi Group to supply a total of 59 forklifts and port equipment. Grimaldi recently moved into the port of Amsterdam, where Forkliftcenter's main location is also located.

Port of Amsterdam's position as a leading supplier of green hydrogen to the German market has been further strengthened by three new agreements signed by the port authority in Duisberg. This happened during the H2-Connecting event in the presence of various partners and King Willem-Alexander.
